INGHAM COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS

RESOLUTION TO PURCHASE A LIVE SCAN SYSTEM FROM ID NETWORKS

RESOLUTION #03-99

WHEREAS, the Ingham County Sheriff's Office needs to replace the live scan system for the Ingham County Correctional Facility; and

WHEREAS, prices for the system have been received and reviewed by Purchasing; and

WHEREAS, Purchasing is in agreement with the Sheriff's Office to purchase a live scan system from ID Networks at a cost of $29,990.00; and

WHEREAS, the funds for this system will come from the Ingham County Sheriff's Office 2003 budget ($10,424.00) and the remaining funds will come from the Integrated Justice Information Systems Committee ($19,566.00); and

WHEREAS, the purchase of the live scan system and subsequent maintenance agreements for the system will be a significant savings to Ingham County and the Ingham County Sheriff's Office.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners authorizes the Ingham County Sheriff's Office to purchase a live scan system from ID Networks at a total cost of $29,990.00 under the State Purchase Agreement.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners authorizes the Ingham County Clerk, Sheriff's Office and the Board Chair to sign any necessary purchasing and maintenance agreements that are consistent with this resolution and approved as to form by the County Attorney.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners authorizes the Controller to make the necessary adjustments in the Ingham County Sheriff's Office 2003 Budget.
